Archival Service
LTO-9 Tape Archival Service
Free up your SSDs without buying new ones.
External SSD prices have climbed for over a year, and they're not coming back down. Like the sons of Issachar¹, who understood the times and knew what to do, we saw this coming and invested in LTO-9 tape hardware. Now you get the benefit.
We move your footage off your SSDs and onto LTO-9 tape, safely archived and ready when you need it. Then you wipe your drives and put them back to work.

Why tape?
Dramatically cheaper.
One LTO-9 tape holds ~16TB for about $120. That's under $8 per TB of storage.
Built to last.
Tape is the archive standard for studios and broadcasters, with a shelf life of up to 30 years.
Safe from drive failure.
An SSD sitting on a shelf is not a backup. Tape is made for long-term storage.
Your SSDs go back to work.
Stop buying drives just to store finished projects.

Single-Tape Archive
$15 per TB
+ cost of tape (~$120/tape).
Two-Tape Archive
Recommended$12 per TB
+ cost of 2 tapes (~$240).
We recommend two copies on two tapes. If one is ever damaged or lost, you have a second. Because it's the smarter choice, we discount it.
Optional add-on
Off-site storage
Keep your second tape at andco. We store it with you in mind — so the copy that protects your work isn't sitting in the same room as the first.
